So, as some of you know, I recently started writing for AndroidHeadlines.com . If you don't know, go check it out! I'm now a fully vested staff writer, so I'll be snagging more articles as my day job and family life allow.
Anyway, I wanted to make this post to let everybody know not to be afraid. Take that first step toward living your dream. The only thing that could go wrong is failure and at the end of the day, it means nothing. Just. Keep. Trying. Gotta set aside time to work for it? Then DO IT. If you sleep more than 4 hours, play video games, take more than five minutes to eat, take long showers, watch TV shows, etc, then you HAVE TIME! JUST DEVOTE IT TO YOUR DREAM! Gotta invest some cash? Save back, beg, whatever, and DO IT!
I'm learning this lesson the hard way as I sit here burning the midnight oil writing, waiting on a USB cord to ship that will allow me to finally use the high-end mic I bought months ago to get my songs off the documents in my Drive and turn them into actual, y'know, songs. Waiting SUCKS. I wish I could sing them RIGHT NOW! THIS SECOND! But all I have is my phone and a Rock Band USB mic, and those suck. You've all seen samples of my writing, I think - it's OK, to be sure, but can it be better? Hell yeah. Do I wanna make it better? HELL YEAH! So what will I do? WORK! I once saw a quote that said to work until your idols became your rivals, so once that mic comes in, I'm coming for you, Yasu(Janne Da Arc/Acid Black Cherry vocalist and my personal idol, for the uninitiated)! I still have my crappy day job, but hopefully not for long <3
